MOBi Rockhampton – Almost Ready to Roll!

The MOBi project (Mobile Outreach Bus Initiative) is underway.  Our donated bus has been completed gutted and new walls and internal structural components installed ready for fit-out. We are very excited about this project as we believe Rockhampton really need a mobile, homelessness support service to reach those people experiencing homelessness and sleeping rough around the Rockhampton region.  Our first MOBi will provide mobile support services to the Rockhampton community providing a warm meal, laundry and shower facilities, access to power and wi-fi (connectivity) and connection to services and supports.  The bus is getting ready now with plans set for an early 2025 launch.

We are still needing funds to complete the fit-out and donations and in-kind support to fund its first year of operation.  We would welcome cash donations as well as commitments to fund operational overheads like fuel, tyres, maintenance, and insurance costs.  Access our website to find out more about donating or reach out to us to discuss how you can be a part of this fabulous community initiative.
