We are very excited to announce the commencement of our new ARC project based in Gladstone, Central Qld!
ARC Projects (which stand for Affordable Residential Communities) are projects where we re-purpose dilapidated or unused property for affordable residential housing. Our new project in Gladstone will be renovating the units currently known as “Cooinda” or “Hibiscus Gardens” in South Gladstone, previously used as aged care accommodation. These amazing facilities have been sitting unused for nearly a decade and The Shelter Collective intend to repurpose these into affordable rentals.
Our role is to garner support from the local community through donations, sponsorship and in-kind support to make this project a reality. The project snapshot can be accessed here ARC21
Our ‘News’ page on our website will post regular updates on this project https://thesheltercollective.com.au/news
